Hahahaha! Can you believe this guy? He is looking for an M60 or M249!

http://phoenix.backpage.com/SportsEquipForSale/i_looking_for_m60/classifieds/ViewAd?oid=2583697

First off, since he can't even make a proper sentence, I doubt he is allowed or can afford a real M60 or M249. A registerable M60 would cost a boatload in the USA!

Nice hotmail address.

An apostrophe on "thank's"?
I wonder why he even bothered?

It's like some pitiful and misguided aspiration to punctuate amongst all the omissions.

I think it's a fake, and a rather tasteless one if it's playing on what I think it's playing on :hmm:

Nowt wrong with that, it's overused a great deal, but in that sentence is fine.

Machine guns such as the M-60 and the SAW are considered type III destructive devices and require a special federal license.

Depending on the state, there is probably nothing to prevent a citizen from owning a M-60 but it would be expensive!!!

Sound more like a fishing expedition to me, perhaps by that very same agency. Anyone who seriously answered that ad would definitely be someone they'd want to get to know better...

"I got M60, I got M249, all you want, you come my house now"

"Yeah buddy we'll be right over"

I hear in the UK you can too. Matter of fact, you can drive tanks on city streets over there! We get in trouble over here for driving tanks to work!

Ja, But good luck finding bombs and missiles to fit to that F-18/F-16, or shells for that Tank (Atleast legally, If you're a Spanish Revolutionary you can probably get some with your fellow Revolutionary pals)

It's not "type" III its CLASS III.

And it's perfectly legal to sell machineguns so long as you follow the pocedure that the ATF requires you to. Which is specifically:

-Getting a signed letter from the county sherriff stating that he has no reason to deny you from posessing a machinegun in your county of residence.

-Filling out ATF paperowrk and purchasing a $200 tax-stamp and passing an NICS background check. (this process can take anywhere from 6 months to 2 years).

Once you have all the proper paperwork, the real problem is coughin up the average $25,000 to $75,000 it costs to buy the damn thing.

Or you can rent one from our gunshop for $40 + the cost of ammo.:D

While the M60 is a tank, in this context the M60 is a machine gun

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M60_machine_gun

Of course it is possible he meant the Yugoslav AK-47 clone but I doubt it

As for the m249

As much fun as this sounds, unfortunately my driving license only allows me to drive vehicles up to 3 1/2 tons. Also I think Mr Plod might get a bit funny if he saw me rumbling round Sutton's 1-way system in a tank!
