no ships in career mode

So, where are all the AI ships? I left port, traveled for days on an empty sea. I just installed SHIII and GWX 2.? on a new vista build. I tried two careers. No ships or planes. However, in single mission they appear. Am I the only one left in the world?

It sounds like you are playing a career in either the Indian Ocean or Black Sea.

You need to enable whichever mod for the area you are sailing in.....or better still, enable the merged campaign mod.

There are no ships in the harbor. Mine is the only one. What's life without a target, huh?

I used SHComander to start a career. One was of the French coast, and the other was from Kiel. Both were from sept 9, 1939.

When I installed GWX Black Sea Campain was added. Thought might give it a try later on. Thought it something that would lie there until needed. So, either merge it, or, remove it? Every time GWX manual opens something else always grabs my attention before finding the answer.

Have you JSGME ?
If you have , then you probarly have two mods that you don't need .
One is a mod called for " Black Sea Campaign Files Only ", and one
" Indian Ocean Campaign Files Only ". If you have enabled them ( from left to right JSGME ) , disable them ( from right to left JSGME ) then your prolem solved:yep:

There's the problem right there. If the Black Sea campaign is enabled, the regular campaigns are not. You won't see ships anywhere but there. Merged campaign adds them all together, but that eats up a huge amount of resources. If you're playing in the North Sea or Atlantic, don't use the others. Then you'll see all the ships you ever dreamed could exist.
