Hi all,

I posted this question in the non-mod forum and realized I should have posted it here.

Here is my problem. I order the UBM from D2D for my 10 bucks. I then receive an email from D2D with a "activation key"..looks kind of like this: "SH4-GBS2-etc...." The download goes just fine onto my laptop. I then move the file on to a removable usb disk. I then transfer it to my desktop computer. I double-click on the icon and the download goes fine saying that my SH4 has been updated to 1.5.

But then when I double-click on the SH4 icon to start the updated game, I get a Ubisoft screen asking for my serial#. I have tried entering the "key" I got from D2D and it says invalid. I tried entering the serial# on the jewel case with my original SH4, and same thing.

My desktop is NOT connected the internet, so I can't do the on-line activation, but it doesn't appear that the manual installation is working.:damn:

Can anyone shed some light on this? Am I just missing something somewhere?

Thanks so much,

Dale

Your first activation requires the Internet. Once you use the online code, the manual code appears. Copy that one to a Notepad document or something and save it. You should then be able to use the manual activation without going online.

Hi and thanks. I am going to hook up to the internet and give it a shot.

Will keep you posted.

Yup, that was all it was. Needed to be hooked up to the net to do the code thing.

Figured it would be something like that, but wasn't sure.

Thanks very much!

Glad you got it working. Did you save the code for the manual activation?

Is this manual number available in one of the SH4 folders? I am also trying to install on an unconnected machine.
