problems getting Mp to work

ok..i have hamachi installed tried setting up a game..friend joined hamachi network i have..then i started sh4..went into MP..into lan, and he couldn't see anything

whenever i goto try to get on ubi.com through mp..i lock up and crash.

anyone have ideas on what to do?

am i setting up hamachi wrong?

Not sure this will help. I play mp with 1.4 no mods and 1.5 no mods. If I have mods enabled on either version I'll crash just before getting into the game. What I'm hearing from others is you need to have all players with the same version of mp. At the moment this means I have 3 differnt installs of SH4 on my external drive.

The above might explain UBI server. Not sure about Hamachi, although I'd love to try finding games via Hamachi to see what happens.

That from my experience is correct...I play with no mods and host games on ubi with no problems...but if someone has mods installed and they join they either lose connection or make others drop off as well...I have played quite a few times with 5-8 people with no problems....also firewalls can be an issue as well as not having correct ports open on routers if you are hosting.

got it to work tonight on ubi.com as me and a friend did 4 missions tonight on there, only had one problem for some reason dropped him outta the game on the last one.

we've been playing with stock 1.4 and nothing else on it. still can't get the hamachi to work though which kinda sucks
