SH3 digital download and patch 1.4b

Hi all, i recently destroyed my cd and could not find another one in a store so i bought the download from direct 2 drive. i downloaded the game, and the only patch they offered was 1.4 not 1.4b. well i finally got the 1.4b patch for the download version but am getting several errors when trying to apply the patch.
over the past few days i redownloaded like 6 times and every time i tried to patch it i still get the same errors. like EN_menu and DE_menu errors. i changed the name of those files and tried again then kept getting errors in the core dll files. what can i do?:damn:

As I understand it, the digital download is already patched to 1.4b. Crank up the game, and one of the loading screens will say what version it is.

yeah after i start the game it is version 1.4 not 1.4b in lower right corner.:damn:

It doesn't matter. 1.4 was never released; it was tested through two more 'sub-patches', if you'll pardon the pun. If you used the stand-alone patch it actually says 1.3!

But you have 1.4b, fear not; it's the only one there is.
