Getting TrackIR, but which one?

Like the title says, FINALLY, I'm getting some extra € to buy the long waited TrackIR I've been dreaming of so long.

But I'm paffled on which one to get. :-? TrackIR 4 or TrackIR 3 (with vector pro)? Am I correct that TrackIR 4 has 6DOF in it as default? TrackIR 3 needs the Vector Pro for 6DOF, right?

How adjustable is the hatclip for hats other than the usual cap design (I wear one of those US army officer kinda caps)?

Aye, figured that too, but wanted to make sure. ;) Gotta love the weak dollar, few months back I would've had to pay ~150-160€ for it if I order it from the official site, now it's only 114€. :p

Lol! ;) In all honesty, I dont think it will give that much of an advantage in IL2, looking around with the hatswitch is like a second nature to me. That is, with the normal TrackIR modeled in IL2, there's a mod by a well known ArmA & OFP modder, Kegetys, that enables an full 6DOF TrackIR to IL2, meaning you can lean out of your cockpit abit etc. etc. I have the mouse version of it installed it and I cant even start to imagine the advantages of it with a TrackIR. :D

But I'd guess it'll make it much more enjoyable and alot easier flying choppers/jets in ArmA & BF2.

Now what about a nice Headset with a Mic so you can attach that new Track-ir on? :p and it will improve your gameplay too in Arma as I guess people are using Voice-coms too

Didnt order the thingy that is attached to a headset and no, havent heard anyone using voice coms in my ArmA time. :p
