I see the Obama fanatics are at it spreading the messages of hope and change.
As in:
I hope I can change the number of states to 48.
I hope I can change Puerto Rico to an independent country by June 1st.
I hope I can change blue collar workers minds after I dissed them.
I hope I can change the popular vote by discounting votes that were actually cast.
I hope I can change the meaning of superdelegates.
I hope I can win large swing states that Clinton has already won.
I hope I can win any large state other than Illinois and change the Texas vote to back me up.
I hope I can change the Electoral College to a caucus so I have at least one point to make towards my electability in November.
I hope I can change Clintons mind and get her to drop out before the SDs realize I cant win in November.
Intresting...I was wondering...What change exactly is he proposing to make...He seems to act like he is some sort of Alien from another planet and above the petty "human" faults all us other poor slobs are subject too.
Being from AZ and one of the only 5 who voted for McCain in the poll...:)...I am somewhat biased....I think McCain needs Sherrif Joe Arpaio to be his running mate...man that team would not take any crap from anyone.
But I forgot...they're too old....lol...they would still kick azz with they're canes.
Here we go...self defense with a cane lol...

Solid stuff, NEON.
Clinton never cared about Florida/Michigan until she found herself in second place.
Also, do you really agree with her comparing the Florida/Michigan scenario to the elections in Zimbabwe?

Ever listened to his speeches? Change, change, change... and no solid plan. He's selling "blue sky" and frankly, if he does get the Presidential job, I expect him to be dodging bullets within 6 months anyway.
IMO, he's in it for the history books... First Black, oh 'cuse me, "African-American" President...

There are plans and policies, for each of the candidates. You won;t get that from the speeches because TV hates broadcasting policy; it's Serious and Difficult To Analyse.
But it's all there, you just have to go look for it

Actually that's a positive thing in my opinion. I'd think that someone looking to make their place in the history books is less likely to allow his reputation to be sullied.

I see the Billary fanatics are at it spreading the messages of lies and deceipt.
As in:
I hope I can change the number of states to only those I won in.
I hope I can change California to a winner take all just like my dumb ass campaign advisor said it was.
I hope I can change non-white voters minds after I and Billy-boy dissed them.
I hope I can change the popular vote to mean something because it actually doesn't.
I hope I can strong-arm the superdelegates.
I hope I can change the rules so that the states that Obama has already won won't count.
I hope I can keep convincing dumbasses that my lies are actually misspokes.
I hope Billy-boy will stop screwing every skirt in sight.
I hope this body armor that I wore in Bosnia doesn't make my fat ass look any bigger.

Doubtful, Nik. I'd say the RMS America will be sunk by 2009.
This video pretty much sums up our situation (you can probably match the politicians with the film characters fairly well):

Cast
Captain Smith - George Bush
Second Officer Lightoller - Dick Cheney
Fifth Officer Lowe - Carl Rove
Thomas Andrews - Average American Voter
Captain Arthur Rostron - Nov. 2008 Election Winner
Passengers - Citizens of America

Florida and Michigan not being counted is a huge issue.
Whether or not you think Clinton cared and when she cared has nothing to do with the issue of Florida and Michigan not being counted.
Clinton:
“We’re seeing that right now in Zimbabwe," Clinton explained. "Tragically, an election was held, the president lost, they refused to abide by the will of the people,” Clinton told the crowd of senior citizens at a retirement community in south Florida.
“So we can never take for granted our precious right to vote. It is the single most important, privilege and right any of us have, because in that ballot box we are all equal. You’re equal to a billionaire. You’re equal to the president, every single one of us.”
Loss of votes is a loss of votes.
The DNC has done that. They have discounted the voters of Michigan and Florida.
The voters did not wake up one morning and say: "Hay I think we should change the primary date."
The voters had nothing to do with it.
Fire the leaders of the state parties, suspend them, take away their ice cream, but dont F the voters in the process.

In all seriousness the Secret Service is probably already thinking about that. They've probably had a lot of OJT with Bush who will probably be the most protected ex in our history.

Actually Bush will be the first President under the new "10 year" rule.
In the past former presidents and their spouses received protection for the rest of their lives. This has been changed. Starting with Bush former presidents and spouses will receive protection for 10 Years.
The same 10 year rule will apply to McCain or Obama.
If Hillary Clinton is elected President, she will continue receiving protection under the old "spousal" rule for the rest of her life.

Obama has been under advanced protection for a while, as far as I know it doesn't usually start until the nominee is decided.
Take from that what you will.

OK who decided that Florida and Michigan wouldn't be counted? Question 2, would Hillary have know about this before the whole thing began? I assume that things like this the candidates are aware of before they start running. In running terms that's like being told there is a hole in the middle of the course don't fall in, and no one complains until they have fallen in.
Help a Brit who doesn't understand the US way of electing people.

Florida and Michigan were told by the Democratic National Committee not to move their primaries up (timewise, a phenomenon called front loading) or their delegates would not be seated. They went ahead and moved them up anyways, and the DNC axed their delegates as promised. Hillary only really started caring when she started running out of options.

"The Obama and Edwards campaigns apparently got the word out pretty well to their supporters to vote uncommitted," said Vincent Hutchings, an associate professor in the political science department at the University of Michigan. "There's some thought that at some point they might reverse the decision to strip the delegates of their authority, and if they do, then Edwards and Obama wanted to have the opportunity to have those delegates vote for them at the convention, which they can do if they're uncommitted, but not if they write their names in. By state law, if the names were written in, then they wouldn't be counted."

A little hope and change maneuver?:hmm:
Obama cared enough to take the high ground while in the back ground he was doing something else.
Sorta lends credence to Obama taking his name off the ballot because he knew he would lose.
Its not like they did not know the punishment could change either.

The party decided and they were warned they wouldn't be counted. I guess they didn't believe them. They do now. Both canidates were aware and weren't supposed to campaign there. I believe Hillary went to Florida but was more or less warned off.
Thats how I remember it anyway.

Right well sounds like Hillary has nothing to complain about and Obama getting his supporters to be undecided quite an astute move. As long as it isn't illegal who cares. I'm not an Obama supporter but I don't like Hillary, she reminds me of Maggie in this fervour she has, except 10 times worse. Oh and Maggie's husband kept his nose out of politics.
Also though I am British as the old saying goes, what happens over there has an influence here. Coming to think of it Obama or McCain good, but Hilary over in DC and Brown here...argggggg.
