This is my first attempt so please bear with me.
These are useing Rubini's excellent Lifeboats mod. Hope you like them. :D

Yes, they don't seem to be terribly compassionate. It reminds me of an unpleasant scene in "The Cruel Sea", when some survivors are too close to a suspected U-Boat contact. :cry:

I hope one day there will be a special life boat mod so you can see those unfortunate sailor moving around ! and "hitch hiking"

Yes they do but they do not move only the boat !

I'd like to see a DD attempt to rescue them.

Then I'd sink it too. :p Give them some company.:rotfl:

The movement is on the way. I have seen the video of sailors rowing the lifeboats.:yep: Keep an eye on the lifeboat thread in the SH3 mod forum for the next release.

FYI...there are additional animations in the pipeline and being worked on as I speak ;)
