I can't believe noone has started a thread about this yet (Or maybe did I miss it?)

But the day is here lads!

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is finally here!

I've already seen it twice the last 24 hours (the first one on the première, the second one a couple of hours ago). It's a real blast, I love every single second of it. Go and see it lads!

Just saw it::down:
It's not that bad, but i didn't like it. I'll nit-pick later.

I thought it was the X-files with Natasha (from Rocky and Bullwinkle) {and a bad one at that}:dead: .

Oh well, it beat sitting at home.

I had higher expectations, it did not meet them.

Okay I don't want anyone of you miss out my very important opinion on this movie, so here it is what I wrote in the other thread
I saw this movie yesterday, I can't say that I am disappointed but I am not overly excited about it as well. The movie was quite overdone in some parts.

It was clear to me that it could not live up to the first three movies.
The movie is a bit what Star Wars Episode I was in relation to Star Wars Episodes IV to VI, but without Jar Jar Binks :-?

I'm more interested in everybody else's opinion at this point. I've been reading other reviews of the movie. Most are giving it a 3 1/2 stars (out of four). I'd give it a 2 1/2.

My favorite bad movie obsession is Gods and Generals.
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/gods_and_generals/

Its not so much that it was a bad movie, I got a kick out of why people thought it was a bad movie. In a nutshell, critics didn't like it because it showed the South ass whoopin' the North in the first 2 years of the War. (Nevermind the fact the movie was waaaaaaay too long, and the special effects were god awful) The critics (the lefty PC types) didn't like the fact that is showed the South in a positive light. Appearently, they weren't aware that the South owned the North up until Gettysburg. (In the Eastern Theater)

I went to see the film on Wednesday. The film started at midnight, so the premier screening was technically on Thursday. Still, it was a great film. Had a lot of twists and turns and "WTF?" moments, though the whole... *SPOLIERS* alien *ENDSPOILERS* ...thing was just strange.

YES, YES, and YES. That has got to be the most underrated film of all time. Have you heard anything about "The Last Full Measure"?

The jury is still out for me...definitely not his best in the trilogy but nor was it the worst.

Just can't make up my mind.

I'm sure I won't be purchasing it though.

Not a good come back.:nope:

Too many things that niffed me off, even the critics are some what divided over this one. I just found it a let down, maybe in a few years when it comes to TV I may change my mind but that is a while off.

4.9 out of 10

I've heard of it, but after GaG (ha ha what an acronym!:rotfl: ) I'm surprised anybody would take it up. There were parts of GaG that I really liked, but there were more just awful parts. That is a great movie for DVD, because you have a skip button. I just had more fun reading the reviews for GaG.

The long sobs of autumn violins, wounds my heart with a monotonous lagour  ;)

Now, down to the film.
I thought the storyline was a bit outlandish, even for an Indy film, but having read up on the crystal skulls it was a blast to see all the theories put together like that. All in all it was a good romp with some good one-liners as an Indy film should be, it's not as good (IMHO) as 'The Last Crusade' which is and shall always be my favourite due to the rapport between the two Jones.

Oh, and who thinks that due to the scene in that 'town' towards the start of the film that the next Indy film might be 'Indiana Jones and the fallout poisoning of doom'? Good special effects though, the second I saw the town I was silently screaming for him to get the heck out of there!

My favourite part:

What galls is how together with America we defeated Hitler, and how we sympathised when Bin Laden hit them.

Convienently missing out the fifty years in between...

Clever lad!;)

But that was not what I thought of, but I guess you knew that...

Anyway, I know that many people don't really like this one. I'm cool with that. I loved, it, maybe because I knew it would be unrealistic, over-the-top and not as the old ones. But it had action in that special Indy-style that I just love. The scene in the "ghost-town" is wonderful, IMHO. Anyone else noticed that it's written "I Like Ike" on the bomb?:rotfl:

Hmm...

I just saw it - had a great time. No, it wasn't Raiders, but what was? They had a nice tribute to the first movie, a very nice tribute to the TV series, a tip of the hat to Denholm Elliott and Sean Connery, and a whole lot of fun.

I liked it.

Everyone I know who saw the film came back not liking it and telling me not to waste my money. The last time they did that in unison was when Star Wars Episode One came out... and they were right ! :dead:
