I find the Mirror is very appropriately named, it perfectly reflects the level of intellect of the people who buy and read it.

Danny Marsh - accidents like this don't require a change in law; just attitude. Besides, Gwent police are quoted as saying that "new laws meant that someone over the age of 21 had to be present when an air rifle was being handled."
Mitchel Picken - why had the owner of the rifle left it where minors could get hold of it?
Somma Chapman - why was the rifle left where a 6 year old could load and fire it?
Rhys Jones - what does this case have to do with airguns?
Alex Cole - why was the rifle left in an unsecured place, loaded with a full magazine?
Stanley the cat - an outright lie; some twat shot the cat with a shotgun http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/edinburgh_and_east/7342811.stm
Nothing of the story from the mirror has any real validity considering its gross distortion of the facts. The cause of the injuries/deaths listed is a direct result of improper care and attention by the owners of the rifles. Why are existing laws not used to punish the adults who are so clearly at fault in these cases?
Brown lost the sight in one eye due to playing rugby - is he going to ban that as well?
Shooting is one of the things I do for fun, in a responsible manner. Scaremongering such as this really annoys me because joe-public just lapp it up without any real knowledge of the subject or consideration of their own.
