game do not aggign sunk ships

may be this is an old issue, but many times playng sh III (gwx 2.1) I hit a target
and sunk it but the game does not assign the sunk ship, do you know why ?
E. i. in a convoy i manage to hit 4 tankers, three sunk soon and one slowly later,
I remain in the area to finish off the job with the slowly sinking tanker, I approach her but I cannot target her as game condider it already sunk, but in the captaing log and the exit objective menu this last tanker it is not assigned to my boat, can you help me guys.

Did you make saves PRIOR attacking the convoy?

Also how many careers do you currently have in the game?

First of all, I made a mistake in this post title, the correct word is assign.
Re your question.... yes I usually made saves, therefore i did before and after attacking the convoy.
The case i reported is with a fresh game installation, there are no careeres.
I forgot to say that I also play with SH commander 3 and the OLCE 2 mods together with GWX 2.1
