i am working on a model tirpitz that is 12 feet long and i was planning on making the hull about 2mm thick around the bulk head but on the bulk head 4mm and the deck will be 1-2mm(same as everything else). the width is about 1 1/2 foot. it will also have two boilers and three turbines, ones electric, one radar and about 8X1 pound cammeras. all the guns will work too so you can add in the ammo for the 8X4mm main armmament, the 12X2mm secondairy, the 16X1 1/5mm heavy AA, the 16X .5mm medium AA, and the 84X .235649867mm light AA. oh and there will be 8X 6mm topedo launchers. it will also have the six aircraft that are flyable with the working crains and the bomds on four of them are going to be changed to a 8mm torpedo. the inside will be hunnycombed with about 24 water tight compartments (1-2mm thick) 2mm over severe parts like the engines and ammo 1mm though everything else. most of the armor will be to scale with con tower and turrets etc armored greater by 1-2mm. it is around a 1:95 scale. any other questions just ask and i will see if i know or in this case have thought about it. sorry about the pole i posted of other than or.

Co2 is much safer than black powder. Yeah, it doesn't give off the smoke, but as a fireing system, it will make it so the thing can fire multiple shots. Using black powder would either require that you pack it yourself for each individual shot or you design an overly complex feeding mechanism for the powder. Black powder would give the realistic smokey look that Co2 doesn't have, but like I said, it would be a lot of work to make function properly.

Black powder is too powerful and it doesn't burn it explodes. I do civil war artillery, I should know:up: .

CO2 does give off some white smoke it does in Gas powerd BB guns maybe you should try something along the similar lines of the BB gun system.

As for the rest good luck

My gas powered BB guns run off butane, I think some 'air' rifles are Co2. Anyways Butane does give a bit of 'smoke'. Also if you get the BB/airsoft stuff it comes with silicon oil mixed in which protects seal and keeps everything lubricated. Try zero one airsoft (if your living in england.

Go for some cheap paintball guns. They also use CO2 and have a barrel diameter of 0.68.

Just a thought (for which I take no responsibility, like all my thoughts) a friend of mine adds a bit of diesel oil into the chamber of his airgun, foe extra power.(sorry I haven't seen this in the flesh, as it were). I was wondering if this would give you a nice bang/smoke experience

What's with the nazi ships? First it's some guy building the Bismarck and now the Tripitz.

Personally i think the Missouri class BB is way more cool looking...

I think you mean Iowa class

Anyway, What's wrong with making German ships? Bismarck is more famous then pretty much any other Battleship in history...

Though I'd say the best looking Battleships are...hmm...The Queen Elizabeths (If you don't look at that big bulgy hull below the waterline)
