Pictured: The naked ram-raider caught on CCTV wearing only his girlfriend's Ugg boots

A ram-raider who smashed his way into a supermarket wearing only a sheet and a pair of his girlfriend's boots has been jailed for four years.


David Ball, 32, was arrested shortly after his buttocks were caught on CCTV by surveillance cameras in the store. The drunken thief stole his girlfriend's Renault Clio from her driveway to smash through the shop's security shutters.

I wonder if they recognized his buttocks from recorded film of him flashing his buttocks at CCTV, never know. ;)

The three recurring elements of every british crime story posted here:

- some kind of nudity or other x rated stuff, though usually harmless
- extremely harsh sentences
- CCTV

From the country that invented the crime novel, the gentleman robber and all that.
Actually british prisons today must resemble a monty Python sketch with all those bicycle lovers, ugg boot wearing naked robbers and other guys like that...

If you want to avoid the cost of having him in jail, return him to his (ex-??:hmm:) girfriend. Smashing the car up is one thing, but woe to the one who takes there Ugg boots!:huh:

I never take my wife's uggs, I've got my own and her feet are too small! Plus bight pink doesn't suit me!:up:

In Australia Ugg is a generic term for sheep skin boots. There was a battle with a U.S. footware company who tried to spot the usage here in Australia of the term. They lost!:D

They did suceed in getting it copyrighted in the U.S., so no Australian firm can sell them buy that name in the U.S.:nope:
