In the shadow of the Burma tragedy, another major tragedy has unfolded in China. So far 15000 are estimated to be dead, but it could become many more. It seems the Chinese acted fast and with strength, and even were not shy to ask for foreign help at an early stage.

I believe that the latest position in China is that a huge dam is in danger of bursting and engulfing thousands of miles of land and heaven only knows how many millions of people :o
