IF any of you are really addicted to sink warship in SH3 Commander, where would you suggest me to go for sinking battleship, carrier, etc..

I went there so many time and the only ship is see is a dido light cruiser and i waste all fuel for a trip when i only sank 1

That'll get you off of hunting the big boys for a bit.

But honestly, I don't know where to find any of the capital ships, except Scapa flow early in 1939, and maybe the denmark straight in '41? (Hood and PoW anyone :yep:)

Depends a lot on what time you are looking, there's always at least 1 capital ship parked somewhere. In the start of the war you can find the Hood in Plymouth (you have to start your game at the very beginning of the war and run flank to Plymouth to make sure to get through the Kanal in time so that you don't get stuck fighting your way there).

Gibraltor has a lot of warships, which just increase as the war goes on - which also includes the # of DD's and ASW Trawlers. It's not hard to safely make it in there and sink the Nelson only to die from 4 DD's DC'ing you 3 minutes later if you aren't careful.

Scapa has a lot of warships and flat tops parked early in the war till around 41', after that BB's and CV's will pop up here and there for a month or two.

Loch Ewe usually has at least 1 LC there, at times the Prince of Wales and a flat top will be parked in there as well.

There's a lot of other ports that will have anything from the Hood to flat tops parked in them for a month or two (sometimes a few more), just gotta sneak in and make note of the month/year that they are there as most capital ships don't stay moored in 1 port for the whole war. Gibraltor's about the only port (besides Norfolk) that will always have large warships parked there; as time goes on more get moored there but the security increases proportionally to the amount of juicy targets as well.

One hint for Gibraltor, especially anytime after late 40' is to be sure to set aside a time block of at least 6 hours or more (add a hour if you aren't in the 23rd Flotttille and have to go through the strait) in real time since you can't save your game there. You'll be submerged the whole time so won't be able to leave the game unless you pause it and let your machine run till you can sit down and resume play.

Med is the best area, not anly to hunt big British Navy ships but also to hunt big troop and merchant ships.:up: I do suggest La Valletta after Italy surrender in 1943 (at least 2 BB and 4 LC's):ping: . You can find some goodies at port of Alexandria. After you visit Loch Ewe, you should go north to Tornshaven (I don't remember exactly how it's written properly). There's 1 Heavy Cruiser, easy shot:yep: .
You can hunt for carrier (essex class) group near norwegian coast after 1942. Especially at area north-east from Bergen.

Med seems to have the largest variety of any kind of experience you're looking for, convoys, task forces, raidable ports and a lot of surface action in general. As North Africa starts to fall back to the Allies all those ports start getting loaded up with troop ships. Casablanca is a really great place to raid, though is about as heavily protected as Alexandria (but not as bad as Gibraltor). Also in the med its best to use a VIIB or VIIC, the IX's are too slow to dive and a easy target for sonar. Since the area is so small you don't really need the added range and getting back to port is pretty quick so you don't suffer so much like you do in the Atlantic with the VII's smaller loadout.

Also, take a look in Dunkirk, a month or so before the Allied exodus. I found two passenger liners and a whole bunch of other juice targets (no BBs though).
And the protection wasn't too well either, just one destroyer and a couple of Elco's. (which both crashed on the docks, hehe)
