DVD drive problem

I've just installed a new DVD drive but i canno't launch the game , with a vanilla game there isn't any problem but with the modded game i can launch it with the old DVD drive only

i've installed a new DVD-rom drive a Pioneer DVR-215 , i install the game with the said drive and run it , it works fine but when i replace the vanilla SilentHunterIII folder with my backed up game i canno't run the game anymore the activation system asks me to try to put the DVD in another drive , when i put the SH3 DVD in my other DVD-rom drive a Pioneer DVR-107 it works the modded game works ?? sorry for my late answer thought the thread had gone to the dungeon

I never had this problem until recently.

Then I built me a new PC, the DVD-RW was one of the few things that stayed the same.
After that stock SH3 makes no problems, but with patch 1.4b SH3 won't start up anymore (error while reading the DVD) It's something related to the copy protection it uses and it's a known problem, too.
