Just got done watching Pacific Fury "tomoose". Excellent video that again had me finding it hard to believe I was watching in-game video from a piece of entertainment software. :yep:

I think that it really says a lot for those devs at UBI, who had a hand in the SH4 project, that with only the addition of some well thought out audio such high quality videos can be / are made about submarine warfare in the PTO during WWII.

Seems there is no such thing as an SH4 video that fails to provide an almost palpable drama so long as the creator makes a reasonable effort.

The TEX film is a classic and hard to beat. The movie liked at the top has too-long scenes and the music is overly bombastic with poor editing to the visuals.

ATR-42, Just got done watching those two videos you linked, the hits just keep coming! :up:

On the Grunion (sp) vs. Convoy I appreciated the fact that Stabiz shows not only his "successes" but his failures as well (missed torp shots, being overly aggressive, not remaining undetected, and paying the ultimate price for the first two mistakes). Anyway, it was a nice change from the usual "Almighty Avenging Americans" (ficticious figurative term folks). ;)

The second vid of the "Dolphin" Uboat shows a good use/abuse of the physics model in SH3, rofl. Talk about imagination and creativeness (and good timing too, lol).

Thanks for sharing them with us. Gotta go but will be back to watch more vids later, really enjoying this thread, thanks to you all! :yep:

ML, "Spanish Inquisition" had me laughing, been a fan of Monty Python ever since their "Holy Grail" movie was released. Kind of juvenile humor, but somehow a lot classier than something like say "Dumb and Dumber", lol. But, to each their own, it's all good, now all I have to do is remember that AMONG our chief weapons are surprise, fear, ruthless efficiency, etc. . . . :88)

McBeck, "Outgunned" is another exercise in imagination and humor to be sure. Had heard of that super Uboat mod but never used it, provides for some funny video fodder though! :yep:

Stabiz, thanks for jumping in here and providing a link for us. The USS Fang video was very good imho. It had setup, suspense, action, and didn't seem overly dramatic. It was as if one was simply a fly on the wall watching it happen. Oustanding and thanks again! Everything I said about the USS Fang video can be multiplied by a factor of 10 when it comes to your "The hunt for the Yamamoto" series of 3 videos. Yup, I watched 'em all. To be completely honest I have never been one who enjoys "harbor raiding" in the game, but that did not detract from my appreciation of your work in these videos, the production quality you maintain, and the always interesting camera angles and choice of audio/background music. Excellent my man, excellent! Thanks for putting up the links for us Gato76, maybe Stabiz was a bit to humble to do it himself, but that is something to be appreciated in itself. :up: :sunny:

Topo65, I fully support all the comments that ML has made and likewise am glad to meet you. You are quite understandable and considering that English is a second language for you my hat is off to you for how well you communicate your thoughts with us in English. Read you 5 x 5 mate. Your video is excellent work in its own right and as I recall you were the only one to use the fade to black and white effect so that was unique/clever. The soundtrack (and timing of your soundtrack)for your video is definitely among the best work out there. If it wasn't for your effort (among others) this thread wouldn't even exist. So ML is absolutely correct in saying there is no language barrier, your work speaks for itself!:rock: :yep: :rock:

The reason why I have been so enthusiastically supporting this thread is because it is VERY convenient to have the "cream of the crop" all in one place without having to sift through all the results of a YouTube or google search. My thanks to all who've participated. I hope to come back and find even more of my subsim.com peers' favorites in the future. :yep:

Ashampoo have a 'free' (I think) Video clip d/l programme containg about 6/7 different web sites which host videos, one of which is YouTube. I have all the Sh4 ( over a hundred) videos on my computer.
