Funny how tastes differ: I liked them at the time, and I loved China Grove, but the ones you listed mostly turned me off. They sounded less like good rock and more like lame pop music to me. Just my opinion, of course. Jesus Is Just Alright was originally by the Byrds, by the way.

Strangely enough, My wife, the lovely Collette's, youngest two children are goddaughters of John McFee. She knew John and Huey Lewis when they were in a band called Clover and was John's then-wife Ronelle's best friend. Here's the Wiki link on the band:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clover_%28band%29

She met Huey when he was a nineteen-year old yogurt delivery boy living in the old water tower at the Marin Town and Country Club, a rundown resort in Fairfax that was the polar opposite of the actual name. There's also a Clover performance up now at Wolfgang's Vault from the time they were both playing in the band for some EEEAAARRLY Huey Lewis.
