GWX 2.1 making up it's grid?

I'm running GWX2.1 on my first patrol from Wilhelmshaven.

First, I stated during August 1939 - went through the channel, buzzes a B&C class destroyer just for a laugh (you get little laughs when destroyers buzz you after August!).

My problem - GWX has assigned me to patrol grid BF10. Hoever, my map only shows BF as starting with BF11.

Any ideas? other than ignore them and go my own way - after all I won't get any renown for a patrol regardless.

everyone who starts an august career seems to get that grid.

dont know why.

basically all you need to do is cruise around for 4 or 5 days at your own liesure.

then return to base either by going to the dock or hitting ESC and selecting return to base.

thats it.

there is no relevance to the patrol grids in august... or ever in fact now that GWX removes the renown for patrolling grids.

The first patrol is for shake down purposes only.....do not attack anything you come across unless you are confident of not taking damage yourself.

Remember....if you attack a neutral you will receive negative renown and all neutrals will consider you hostile for a period of 24 hours. (the 7th flotilla has a few target ships and a 2 ship convoy, it therefore affords you a little extra renown to start off with)

On the 4th you should receive a radio message instructing you to return to base. Hit the Esc key and do so.....you should previously set your days in base to 20 using SH3 Commander.

If you aren't already, consider a transfer to the 1st or 2nd Flotilla, this should see you well placed for a patrol commencing from Kiel or Wilhelmshaven on the 24th August (providing you sustained no damage in your first patrol) and in good time to get into a favourable position prior to the commencement of hostilities.

This has been asked before http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=135855 and was fixed in the updated GWX 2.1 bug fix.

Just wanted to make sure it really didn't exist. Even I know its not sporting to sink ships before declaring war :smug:

I'll chase up the bug fix and carry on.
