Here's a list of mods for use with the expansion, (i.e. one's made for the U-Boats specifically. 1.5 compatible mods for Fleet Boats can be found in the SH4 Mods Workshop (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/forumdisplay.php?f=219) )

This list is under construction, and will take some time to be complete, I imagine, so if I miss anything off, please feel free to PM me with a link to a release that can be put here. Thanks!

Please remember, only mods specifically to do with the U-Boats or the U-Boat Campaign will be posted here.

Since I am now running a German U-Boat I would indeed like to get rid of the "Klaxon" horn. Jeez that's creepy on a U-Boat.:damn:

Is there a mod for the "Alarm"?

Never mind I broke that loud noise maker and D/L a German sound patch. Much better now.

Is Super Mods a seperate U-Boat Missions only mod for SH4?

Currently I'm playing the American campaign (TMO+RSRDC) but I wouldn't mind jumping in some German hardware and sink away. If so where can I find it?

Since it's 'updated' you might want to add Operation Monsun and the several new mods created since this was last posted.

sailor steve.. I no longer trust any links in this forum as they all take you to old posts that have dead or non existing links can you kindly point to this mod? I will give it a try as I hear all uboats are available & I prefur the VIIb
& C

I am also hoping there is a way I can delete every japanese related material out of the game completely as its a complete waste of gcard load time.

until gwx4 comes out even though i bought sh4 & the uboat missions
addon I cant stand it & am sticking to sh3 because well lets face it the pacific sucks and nothing compares to the sh3 German Campaigns.

yes I am an American & I cant stand the pacific war *gags*

I totally disagree about the Pacific, though that's probably because I was born just after the war ended and grew up watching movies like Run Silent, Run Deep and Destination Tokyo; and absolutely loved Silent Service and Silent Hunter 1.

Hello,
thanks, well it all becomes a bit complicated - another list of U-Boat Mission Mods (1.5 patch) is here:

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=143000

I am still trying to find out what to install - have been 2 years in sleep mode sub-wise ;)

Thanks and greetings,
Catfish

You should put a link to my post in the ATO mods section, where you can play as U-Boats on multiplayer missions :)

So i downloaded JSGME.7z and extracted it to C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific folder, as described on the ubisoft forum and copied in the operation monsun (3x folders worth) enabling each in the correct order. However when starting SH4-Uboat missions there is no change to the menu screen, same original pacific campaign.
The only thing that i can see that may be the cause is that it states in the forum that JSGME puts the MODS folder into the C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific folder, whereas mine is still in the JSGME folder which itself is in the C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific folder.
Is this the reason perhaps?
cheers

Without being able to see your computer screen I can't say for certain exactly what you have vs what you need, but it sounds like you found it. Yes, the MODS folder should appear in the main SH4 folder.

Okeydoke will see if that's the issue. I know JSGME comes recommended but is there any reason why i can't copy the op-monsun data files straight into the SH4 folder?

Beat me :dead: if you have to.....

Sailor Steve

No, there isn't. The difference is that JSGME will notify you of possible conflicts in advance and let you figure out what to do, and if there is a conflict JSGME will let you remove mods again until you find the problem. If you load it straight in and hit a snag you may find yoursefl reinstalling the whole game.

ok problem solved.... as the above post, i put the mods folder into the C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific folder instead of it being in the JSGME folder that was within the C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific folder and it all works dandy!

love it and thanks

Hello all. I'm very new to all this posting so bear with the newbie please.
Can someone give me good, detailed instructions in how to download the german subs type XVIII and the mythical type XXVIII to version 1.5 U-boat missions. I would be greatly appreciative. Oldretseal

I think the list needs to be updated. Many of these mods have removed links.

I'm a newbie and would like to try some of this stuff but the links are broken.
Can't they be fixed?

Thank you...

Graphics and Sound Effects links updated. You might also want to browse through our main SH4 Mods section (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=cat&id=2), where you'll find hundreds of mods not listed in short reference posts like these. :sunny:
