The oldest victim sunk by a U-boat was the Finnish steamer "SIGNE", sunk by U-38 in April 1940. The ship was built in 1882 this means the "SIGNE" was 58 years of age.

Cheers HunterICX, that was a good read :up: seem there was heaps of confusion in that convoy with regards to signalling each other, thanks for the link :rock:
