I took a break from SH3. When I returned to the forum I was pleased to find that that GWX 2.1 and SH3 Commander 3.1 were out. After updating both programs, I started a new career in Aug., 1939 in a Type IIA.
I've just discovered that if I take over the hydrophone operator's station, I can't get the mouse to rotate the hydrophone wheel. When I put the mouse pointer on the wheel and left click, the pointer changes to orange (as it should). But when I hold down the left button and try to drag the wheel, the pointer turns white again. :cry:
The only way to operate the hydrophone manually is to click and drag the bearing indicator needle (in which case, both the needle and the wheel move).:huh:
I can use the mouse to change the ambient volume of the hydrophone, so it is just the inability to rotate the wheel with the mouse that is the issue.
I've had many careers (using GWX 2.0) with other types of boats and never encountered this before. Has anyone else had this problem with the Type II?
