You have to either laugh or cry, because if you don't the only other option os to go on a murderous rampage at your local councillors office.

Britain should consider to censor such stories and keep them secret, because sooner or later stories like this must start to hurt the tourist industry for sure?!
I wonder if they really have defeated mad cow disease some years ago - or if it just mutated!?

Funny you should mention that. In most international reports of BSE/VCJD the focus is on britain alone; no-one alludes to the fact that france, germany and many other european countries had it too in some number or other, and all as a result of agricultural industry attempts across europe to make more money by re-cycling animal carcasses into feed for animals who's natural diet as herbivores does not include spinal cord nor vertebrae. I mean... what were they thinking?!
As for the tourist industry, I wouldn't worry. We have so many people taking advantage of EU laws on employment and immigration by coming to the UK to work to earn money only to return home when the wind changes direction, that those more optimistic politicians consider it a kind of 'economic tourism'

Good to see the British judicial system concentrating on the important stuff like this.
It is the thin edge of the wedge. If this criminal was allowed to get away with overfilling his trash bin by four inches, what would be next?
He would probably improperly mulch his peonies.
It is a documented short step between overfilling trash bins and international terrorism. We can all rest easier knowing that threats to our society like this criminal are being death with.
It is a little known fact (Some guy told me about seeing it on the internets) that Adolph Hitler once improperly wrapped up some garbage back in '19. If only he has been caught and properly dealt with, perhaps WW-II could have been averted.
I think we need to carefully surveil Mr. Corkhill (if thats his real name):shifty:
I blame the people who voted for these people. :shifty:

Not long to go before you get a criminal record for the following.........
Walking without due care and attention.
Wearing a loud shirt in a built up area.
Failing to place your grass clipping in the dark green bag.

"Sir, you've overfilled your trash bin by... TWO CENTIMETERS! That's a hefty violation of the law, 'ole chap!"
Where do people get laws like this? More ridiculous than the law in Michigan that states that a customer in a bar may not pick up his drink and walk across the room with it; a bar worker must do it for him.

Aren't the council breaking EU laws by quoting the magnitude of the offence in inches.
We did arrest a stall holder for selling carrots by the pound instead of metric tons or whatever.
Just to be argumentative though, this guy has been given a bin 50% bigger than most people and watching the news last night I notice he can't be bothered to crush bottles and boxes before disposing of them. I wouldn't want to agree with 'The Man' but...Our green and pleasant land is being overtaken by landfill and we need to do something. Hangings to good for him:arrgh!:

Actually since jumpy brought up BSE the attitude of mainland europe especially the French really pissed me off.
No one reports that while BSE cases in Britain have dropped to a low level if at all, they are on the rise on France.
And given this is the Daily Mail I am sceptical. Personally having seen our neighbours regularly having stuff coming out of the bin I have no sympathy.

Good news on this one as some time ago the EU or should I say our silly Government dumped that one.

Walking without due care and attention.
Why not when you race down the street with more than 5 km/h and do not yell out loud "Friendly from behind!" before overtaking another walker. :88)
You could as well get billed for the heart attack you may cause by that, so better do not overtake at all - safe is safe.
