Just joking.My latest deal - I need to bring a friend over to do my taste test. I have the following 3 beers that are close in flavor, but need to find the differences between them so they need to be tasted at the same time. Problem though - 1.5 (let alone all 3) will tank me till no end. The lowest alc one is 8.7%, and thats BS since it was probably 8.7% at bottling, but getting stronger in the bottle the whole time:

The only true test of a beer is not it's strength, but it's popularity on the worldwide stage.
In Holland and Belgium you have the Trappist Beers brewed by monks, and some of those are approaching 20% yet seldom seen that far afield.

For a good brew the world over allow me to introduce the Geordie throat gargler....the one and only..

We had one up in Milton Keynes who used to drive to the town centre, kick off his shoes, sit down to a couple hours' of begging, then knock off and drive home. Got done for it in the end.

:lol:Typical that the world has such bland tastes (Budweizer comes to mind). Maybe I am being too harsh - It is probably more a case of what the world can afford vs. what the world wants. :p

Just picking on you (I couldn't resist!) :D. Newcastle is OK, but lacks a bit of flavor. Tastes like drinking water in a way. It is tolerable though if nothing else is avail.
