I believe that part is only third person but still a welcome addition especially when it is a game primarily about PT-Boats.

I'm hoping moreso that an SDK is released or that some kind of modding is allowed with the game engine. If so, we would have the engine needed for the community to make DC2 or TF1943! :)

That would be great & there is a precedent for this as for all their fauilt Akella has been good & visionary enough to give some modding tools for "Pirates of the Caribbean" to the community over at the great "Pirates Ahoy" (http://forum.piratesahoy.net//index.php?showtopic=11271&hl=akella) site. So who knows where this could lead.
Mind you Akella see this as only the first in a series of WWII naval sims, so they may wish to retain control for a while.

Back in October I expressed my opinion/concerns about this game. Two things: I was wrong about SH4, when it dropped to 19 bucks I took a chance. Thanks to this community and patches to 1.4 plus U-Boat Missions I enjoy that game immensly.
However, when I checked the screenshots at worthplaying via the link above I noticed something. Take a look for yourself and note the text messages such as, "Our transport is sinked." Uh...yeah.

Remember that this game is game is being developed in Russia primarily for the Russian market. I suspect those are provisional texts put in place by the Akella developers who may have a limited command of the English language. Usually the publisher will carry out internationalisation of the game in it's final stages ensuring those kind of details are correct.
Still no idea on a release after years in development...... whats going on
I did like the text in the screenshots though
"Our transport is sinked"
"Our torpedo boat is blown up"
:rotfl:

Hey man, mistranslations and broken dialouge make a game awesome. :) Just look at Zero Wing and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
