Am I the only one experiencing long save times?

Using 1.4 and RFB my in-game save times over the last few days have crept up from the normal 2-3 seconds to now 5 mins. or more. This same thing happened when I was using TMO. At first things were fine, but eventually saves get longer and longer. As near as I can remember this didn't happen in vanilla 1.4 but I could be wrong. I didn't stay with vanilla 1.4 very long.

I am playing the campaign and it is mid 1944.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening? Any possible fixes?

Are you saving a LOT of games? I seem to remember a post a long while back advising to keep the save game list relatively empty. I only have 6-10 save games in my save game list and I delete any extra stuff.

No, I keep using the same 3 saves over and over, i.e. wally, wally1 and wally2. I just save over the top of those 3. I do however, like to save frequently. But like I said, this has been an escalating problem. Don't know if it is the game or my pc.

This won't be much help, but I had this issue too. Saves started taking around a minute to complete, but by the time it began getting on my nerves enough to begin searching for the problem/solution, it went away. If I remember correctly it went away around the time I did a reinstall and upgraded to 1.5.

Maybe try starting a new career and saving right away just to see how long that takes.

Ok, however my boat is a balao and I am using RFB not TM. So I don't know if that applies or not.

I had the same problems.

What I did was to remove all mods from JESME and then put them back again.

This worked for me....good luck.

I have 50+ saves and I also often re-use save names. I'm currently in a career starting the 4th year of the war. My saves are nearly instant in stock game.

i've found the the greater the MB the save file is the longer it'll take to load, but it will load. this is why i've gone to not resupplying and going back out. one load of fish; one combat patrol, then i start a new one.
