Yes, I prefer the original too, Edward G Robinson was great.

I see there is yet another version (http://www.amazon.com/Legend-Sea-Wolf-Chuck-Connors/dp/B00005QJJP/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1208251484&sr=1-1) but based on the reviews it is probably not worth the bother
