View Full Version : Freemantle _Bug
I am at the the begining of my career my base was at Soerabaya, during my patrol Japs took ower Soerabaya, and my base was moved to Freemantle(I think it was only place where I can end patrol). But when I try to dock at Freemantle game crashes.
I tried to reinstal (repair) game same thing happened, I started new career and same thing happened again.
Is there any way to fix this.
I don't have any mods or patches.

Are you patched up to 1.4?

Wow, if you don't have any patches, you are doomed. Get patched to 1.4 or the Uboat 1.5 ASAP. Start your career over.

1.0.0.0
Patch to v1.4 immediately. The game as originally released was practically unplayable.

Um, doesn't he have to install each path in chronological order of release?

All patches are cumulative. You need only install 1.4 There are some mods that will make the game much more enjoyable. Might I suggest TMO. Besides playability, it has some audio and visual enhancements as well. Spend some time reading the "Mods" forum and view the list of available mods. The first thing you'll need is JSGME. It's very worthwhile, you won't regret it !
Patch instaled thaks for help guys, game runs smoother now :D

While you are at it, you might want to try the Real Fleet Boat or Trigger Maru mods. It adds considerably to the game play. Also, try the Run Silent, Run Deep campaign mod
Patches and add-on are also available from the official SH4 site:

If you want the next patch 1.5 then i thoroughly recommend the uboat addon . Even if you dont play uboats the addon has a lot of great stuff for the pacific campaign . New ships etc . $10

Are there any fixes in the 1.5 addon?:hmm: Could you elaborate about the "lot of great stuff for the pacific campaign" part of what you said?

Probably my spelling rather than the game, not noticed. Besides, why would an extra "e" cause the sub not to find a base but allow me to refit in this invisible base?

Solved. It was the radio message sending me to Fremantle. Must have been April 1st. I went back to Pearl, my original starting point, and found I could dock and end patrol.
Common mistake. Lots of people don't realize your home port can change at any time. Image the trouble we all had in the beginning when our home port would change with no radio messages or icon change on the navigation map. You should notice your home port has a different icon (tilted blue anchor.)
