Yep, nice find indeed.

Though it sounds a little bit like a mixture of a desperate rallying call and some proud song.
If they have had such songs during WW2, they could have used it to keep up the courage amongst the civil sailors. Which is a bit cynic as they knew that they would propably die out there.

You mean the video when you say propaganda right?
Serious speaking I don't believe it is propaganda, without merchant shipping, Europe would starve. These people were not soldiers, but many of them gave their lifes and their efforts should be respected.

But how do you download it?
I have downloaded videos from YouTube and the like Sailor Steve, but I don't remember which website I used.

I've done it by pasting the URL where the video is into a webpage and it downloads the video for you (as a FLV file)
I've also done it by downloading a free program that will 'rip' the clip from my PC. (But must have deleted it or I'd just tell you what program)
I did a quick google search just now but didn't see anything right away. But it can be done fairly easily if you want to look into it.


Also, I don't use Firefox but I'm told that it has a built in feature to download FLV movies. If you use that, should be no problem.

Once you get the FLV you will need a FLV player to view. Those are free and easy to find. Or better still a converter that will convert FLV to more common movie file types.

I use a litte proggy called vdownloader for vids from youtube. Its simple to use and rewrites the .flv in almost every file you want, including .avi,.mpg and .mp3.

This is so awesome, I love it! Recorded it during the Strem via Crative´s SoundRecorder and converted it to Mp3. Will put it on my Mp3 Player and in my Grammophone folder.
