Question.
I've noticed what I consider to be a relatively high pitched whine from the Uboat XVII prop when it's in "silent running" mode - at around 1 knot. From a little research, it seems that the RPM (generic research on submarine engines in WW2) should be anywhere from 30-50 RPM at 1 knot which is a rotations per second, which is relative slow.
However, the whine seems more in line with 200 rpm or higher. It's very disconcerting to hear this noise when in silent mode and trying to get out from under a DD.
Any ideas on whether this can be modded?
