Gameplay settings - broken? Or meant to act this way

I set all my gameplay settings as I would like. Limited fuel, realistic reload times, etc. But everytime I start a new campaign (on Normal difficulty level) all my selections are changed - I wind up with unlimited fuel, quick torpedo reloads. What's up with that? IS this a bug? Cause it's really aggrivating.

In your office click on one of the books saying 'Options' and change your game realism settings there... :up:

In the office on the bookshelf, upper left hand corner, there is an option to change gameplay settings ( scroll over it with your mouse ), you need to change them in there for career related stuff.
