Installing GWX.
Make sure SH3 is patched to 1.4
Download all the Bin files and the Exe.
Place them all in one folder in somehere like My Documents or Desktop.
Double click on the Exe and start the install.
SH3 Commander is not part of GWX but a very worth while program to have:up:
Find out more about Commander and what it does here.

I have tried to use the 1.4b to patch a DVD install and it does not seem to work. It will only patch to 1.3 then no more. Also the sound files being updated at the end of the process say, not able to access or access denied. What gives? N E one else had this problem?

When it has finished patching it will say 1.3.
But when you load up the game in the bottom right corner of the menu it will say 1.4.
As for your sound files i have never come across that problem. But im sure someone around here will be able to help.
Hope this helps

Click on my sig to access the GWX website for a comprehensive installartion instruction.
Just one additional point......when I uninstall prior to a reinstallation, I use the actual game disc to perform the operation http://www.psionguild.org/forums/images/smilies/wolfsmilies/pirate.gif

Yes, the patch is 1.4 but the developers never changed the number, so when the 1.4 is installed, it still says 1.3. A small insignificant detail, but it has caused a lot of worry.
