I put 2 torpedoes into this ship.
One exploded under her hull and the other hit right at the back just short of her props. All that happens is a small fire breaks after each hit.

But it continues to sail around at 10knt as if nothing has happened.
And pound my Boat into the sea floor. I managed to get back to base but my boat was very badly mauled.

Has anyone else had this experience?

It is made of win.

And you can't destroy things made of win, cuz it leads to fail.
You must have your own weapon made of win to counter-win the winship made of win.

Yes, sometimes the choice is the ultimate one and easy: or the Trawler go down of the U-Boot go down, this small tenaciuos ships are sometimes very hard to destroy, and his posibilities of detection..., ayayay...That remember me the guy in the Sonar of the Los Angeles Class in the film "The Hunt of the Red October"; he detect you very far if you have the bad idea to accelerated a little from the 2 knts of Silent Running...,funny thing because this crafts were in general not equipped with Asdic or hydrophones :D

I've run into one on the first GWX version--Filthy bastard with incredibly accurate gunners. Gave me a hard time after I submerged. :stare: I limped back to base.

Haven't seen the bastard since :D

Yeah, the gunnery is a little much on those little ASW's!

Couple that with the previously mentioned fact that they weren't ASDIC equipped (Hell, an awful lot of destroyers and corvettes weren't ASDIC equipped until mid-war for that matter).... and you have one lean, mean, unrealistic fighting machine!

Same thing with the merchant gunners for that matter.

Normally I run the deck gun myself, but I have tried letting the computer gunners run the show because I figured it would be as bang on as the other CPU gunners in the game.... unfortunately not.

My highly trained sub crew only manages 1/5 shots on target on a big freighter, and yet the merchant seaman on the freighter is the Newfoundland Davy Crockett - winging rounds into the 5 foot profile of my sub

Bah!
