Reduce it!?

We should rejoice in the land of milk and honey that is the Indian ocean! :rotfl::up:

Theres that gameplay vs historical accuracy thing again.. Its very hard to find a compromise between the two, and far too easy to catch the "realism bug" and start counting rivets. :88)

I'm marveling at all the Japanese traffic in the Indian Ocean. I think after their one Kido Butai carrier foray there in 1942 they pretty much stayed out of it.

Ok, now with that it mind, the amount of traffic is entirely too much! :rotfl:

That's correct, after the Kido Butai left in April (?), that was it, you'd be unlikely to see a force bigger than a CL with a DD escort, and rarely anything bigger (if ever) than a CL. If they have more than that, it's complete fantasy.

Yeah, I agree that the Indian Ocean traffic is too much, currently working on reducing it a bit.

How i see it ubisoft aimed for the casual player that hasn't the time to play for 4hrs, but wants to beable load up the game head out in his boat take a look at the map to see 4 or 5 convoys close by so he can take his pick and have fun. Where for most of us that want to sail around for days in search of that precious convoy its to easy at the moment. Sometimes i use up all my torpedoes before ive reach my first patrol grid lol

When lurker's operation monsun comes out, you'l see things change to a much more realistic level.
