Hey i found this site that lists when and where Captial Ships are docked in the game, it also has the routes and locations of Task Force Groups and the years to look for them in the game. Now if your using GWX2.0 will this still be good intelligence?
here is the website, all that Task Force info is at the bottom of the site http://edseek.com/archives/2005/05/04/silent-hunter-iii-survival-guide/

this intel is almost completely useless with GWX2 in my opinion.
As far as im aware, the campaign both random and scripted were completely reconstructed from scratch when GWX was developed.
this means that if you repeatedly encounter a task force for example in stock SH3... the chances are good it WONT be where your expecting to find it in GWX2
this is good intel for players who use the listed mods or play stock i guess... i have to be honest though, i dont even remember what stock was like at this point :rotfl:

Does someone have a list of where/When Allied Captiol ships are docked? And is there also a list of the routes/times of Task Forces in GWX2.0? I havent ran into any Task Forces yet and im about to start my 8th patrol in GWX2.0 and its April 1940.
When i played GW and GWX1.0 i saw lots of Task Forces...are they more random/fewer of them in GWX2.0????????

For the Cap ships, if GWX deals with Allied shipping the same way it does with German one, they are where you can expect them to be, historically - mainly in Scapa, then scattered along the east coast and especially at Rosyth after Prien's run, then back to Scapa

Use SH3 Gen. You can set it to show you where everything is in the entire game at any given time if you want.

You could look at the campaign layer in the game via the mission editor http://www.psionguild.org/forums/images/smilies/wolfsmilies/pirate.gif
