Need to know if you have AGP or PCI interface on the motherboard.
Thanks for the quick response, The motherboard has 1 x AGP Pro/8X (1.5V only)
& 5 x PCI Slots.
The X1650 is using the PCI-E slot, so no it wont work. You need an motherboard that has PCI-E slot.

The card will work if it is a AGP slot card. Check out the EVGA 7800GS AGP. It is on sale for about $120.00. I'm not a big fan of ATI at the moment. The choice is yours in the end though:up:
The Graphic card is an AGP Sapphire X1650 Pro 512MB DDR2 AVIVO TV/Out 8X AGP

If it's the AGP version of the card and your motherboard has an AGP slot, it works. Didnt know there was an AGP version of it earlier. ;)
Thanks Guys, I had missed the last bit of info when i copied and pasted the Product name

ATI seems to be keeping production on the AGP set up. Some of the newer cards are AGP. It is a dying breed though.

I have that exact same video card, Stev1.
It works just fine in my MSI KT4V mobo but there is one thing you need to be aware of...
ATI driver support for 3D apps and games for AGP cards has been broken since Catalyst Drivers version 7.9 and has still yet to be fixed by AMD/ATI even though the 7.12 drivers have been released.
The 7.8 and earlier drivers still work, but you can patch the newer drivers with the ati3duag.dll file from the older drivers. The 7.2 dll worked best for me but it just all depends on your system. Start with 7.8 and work your way back until you find a dll that works.
Hopefully, ATI will start acting like they care and fix AGP support with future releases but it seems doubtful after three full releases already.
Also make sure you have a good power supply as this card does use an extra power connector. 450w-500w is the range to shoot for but make sure it is rated to supply a steady 24 amps on the +12v DC rail. 32 amps would be even better.
Thanks for all the help guys.
Graf Paper, just to let you know i have a 500 watt power supply fitted,

It's not so much how many watts your PS has as it is how many amps it can give on each rail, especially the 12-volt rail for the video card since all the fans and drive motors use this as well.
I've seen plenty of 500-watt power supplies that maxed out at 18-19 amps for the 12v rail. Check the sticker on it or do a search for your PS specs on Google.
Hope you enjoy your new X1650 Pro, dude. It's like having an entirely new computer when you're gaming. SH3 with GWX 2.0 looks amazing! :D
