Early Radar - Fumo-29 installed on a VIIB so I'm not expecting much, just a new toy. I usually don't bother with gadgets on the VII unless I make it into 43 or get a C/41.
But I think to have an imcompatibily or broken something because it won't detect anything. No ships, no aircraft. Tried the different ranges close to or aproaching targets, zig-zaged. Tried switching sweeps, changing radiomen. Now I'm wondering if it was a waist of renown. Thought I would see if I hit a bug or not. :ping:

That set only gives a very narrow detection beam (something like a 10 degree arc from the bow) and it range is very limited, it can be helpful when the weather is bad or can see squat due other things but the later sets are better.

The Fumo-29 has a very limted detection arc (+/-10 degrees). So the only way to geta full sweep is to literally turn you U-boat around 360 degrees.
It would be best to wait for the Fumo-30, as its a bit better tha the Fumo-29.
