Okay, I recently just reinstalled everything and loaded up GWX 2.0, I was told by a friend about how awesome it was, and I have a tendancy to agree! WONDERFUL mod that makes the game new again.

But! Onto the questions and problems:

1. My deck gun doesnt have any ammo. Sailin around in a type VIIb, I man it, counters are all at zero. I tap I and I've got two blocks of ammo in it but the gun reads that its out.

2. Kiel Canal, while awesome I cant go any greater than 2x time compression, just going around denmark seems like it would be a much quicker solution =(

3. A few times I've been DC'd I'll slowly start to sink, even with minor damage and one compartment flooding slightly I cant keep it from going down to the bottom, blow ballast and flank speed seem to be doing little.

4. Promotions that hard to get for your men? I've been on four patrols so far and have a couple who are ready for a promotion but never had the promotion papers on the uboat section while in dock

5. Wounded. Is it me or have I never seen a single wounded sailor, they all seem to just flat out die. Is there a point to even having medics then?

6. Speaking of officers, is there a really "must have" list for handing out qualifications for your petty officers and officers?

Thanks! =)

1. Click on the "HE" ammo icon while manning the deck gun to load that ammo type. You dont have SS or AP ammo anymore.

2. Use SH3 commander to change the time compression near land to whatever value you prefer (i use 512*)

3. Flooding is a bitch in GWX2, have a good damage control crew to pump out the water, give all officers a repair qualification + dont forget to turn off silent running or nobody will repair anything and you`ll just keep sinking!
+ Blowing ballast and going ahead flank should help slow your sinking rate and give your crew time to pump/repair etc.

4. Ive done 9 patrols and only been given 2 crew promotions, i think it depends on your performance.

5. Medics are useless on a u-boat, i tend to get rid of them and have crew with more useful qualifications. Its very rare to get an injured crewman in sh3, they usualy just die. If you are "lucky" enough to have injured crew dont use a medic to heal them or you wont be able to award them the wound badge when you reach port!

6. No idea... sorry.

+ Welcome to the forum:up:

Awesome! That solved most of my problems! I didnt know you had to click to ammo to load it first. Also: AAA training mission, what the hell is up with that. Getting bombed to hell by 8 planes at once makes it really damn hard to pass.

Welcome, Herr Kaleun!

As for you Planes problem...you have to do some crazy navigating and evading around to use it to you adventage...to better line up for the kill and make it harder top be hit.
Pick the planes by youself and when you have a better opportunity with another target...take it.

The Ruder and Flank-Speed are your friends!

and if that doesn't help...

Be more Aggresive!;)

Don't worry about passing the flak gun training. It is a bitch to pass and I never use it anyways.
