S!

My 1st gig in a VIIB, and some 15kts sunk already too. We attack a convoy and suffer DC's for a couple of hours, but finally manage to slip away. I then order to continue silent running at 20ms submerged and hit the bed, put the TC at 256 and virtually fall asleep... well after half an hour game time or so things start to happen VERY fast... "The boat is damaged, sir"... "We have heavy flooding, sir"... and, finally, "Your boat was destroyed by collision"! Now I just wonder who the hell did the buggers ram into, because there were no contacts whatsoever nearby anymore!?

Well, exit Kaleun Salamanowski with his 50kts sunk and enter Kaleun Marco Salaminski anyway :smug: And that Bernard geezer is sacked I'm telling ya :damn:

Bernard's 5th Law of SH3:

High TC + Sleep = KABOOM

Learn it, know it, live it. :know:

Would you like to see a councilor?

Hot cup of tea with a plate of biscuits?

A nice soft teddy bear?

GET OVER IT. :p :rotfl:

There's that Sleep word again. Someone please explain this concept. :dead:

TC+40 meters+ sleep = the sleep of the death by suffocation or lack of Oxigen

Good thing you didn't survive. You would have been shot when you got home.

Sleep in einer schnellen U-Boot kann tödlich. Wenn Sie aufwachen finden Sie alle Ihre Brandy gegangen.

I often go deep, run silent, and catch a few zzzz's. The difference is that I do this on 1 x TC. :know:

Yes yes yes, what you gents say is all true of course  But I'd still like to know what happened, because the sea was over 1km deep there and to my knowledge there were no other vessels nearby! So who / what the hell did those numbnuts ran into, eh?

I guess I'll never know. Yah, should get over it without much counselling though - and tea and biscuits we cannot serve because Bernard, that pig, usually hoards everything :p

Ah and incidentally, the new skipper is actually named Markus Von Blixt. The geezer sunk over 20kts during his 1st patrol, plus he seems to be less prone to falling asleep during times submerged, too, for some reason :p
