been running SH4 beautifully for months now: Rubini's Nvidia-thread settings w/ 7950GT OC. no problems.

I installed Star Trek: Legacy and Serious Sam II over the weekend and THIS started happening in SH4. Transparencies break (clean line) in the middle of waves. This never happened before, and nothing I've tried fixes it.

The last thing I want to do is reinstall SH4... again. And it might not even fix it.

Anyone see this problem before?

Double check in nHancer than you have Rubini's SH4 settings selected. Right-click the nHancer icon in your tray, choose activate profile, and select Rubini's SH4 settings. If they're not there you'll have to go back to the nVidia Tweaks (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=128517) thread and reenter them. This time make sure you name them with a unique name so they can be reloaded manually (check the box for manual selection).

You'll have to excuse me, I'm still looking for the head (kopf) on this blasted U-Boat.

thanks for the help. I'm not using nHancer, as 99% of Rubini's settings are in the newest Nvidia Control Panel (no AA:EA Strat Games).

I did some investigating on the Serious Sam II boards and it seems this game can fiddle with background Nvidia Drivers released AFTER Serious Sam II came out.

Gonna purge Nvidia drivers/reg_items and reinstall latest drivers when I get home.

full purge and driver reinstall fixed it.

I liked NNFR and RegCleaner for purge. Both miss certain NVIDIA junk.
