I've heard these characters often at the sonar station, but have never seen them. Finally, on a brisk Winter morning, pulling away from a milkcow rendezvous, I spotted Flipper! :)

I hear them every second patrol but have yet to clap eyes on one. And I have burned a serious amount of diesel chasing down the bearings

Okay, here is a special screenshot for those of you who have never seen the glorious bounty of creation while out wrecking havoc upon Allied shipping as you watch for beautiful explosions, flying bodies, screams, and burning oil slicks!

Could dolphins maybe be cloned and modded to create some sort of follower dolphin that swims with the boat?...
Like set the dolphin to enemy or something and have it want to chase you. That way maybe you could have dolphins swimming alongside the boat. :hmm:

Whereabouts did you see it? I've yet to venture out further than the western approaches and Gibralter, must expand my horizons!! :know:

On a related topic, how the bejesus did the modder of those whales manage to create a totally new particle emitter for the whale`s blowhole spray, most impressive work and great attention to detail:up:

The Ref has never disapointed... well he has... when it comes to TS rendezvous he is terrible. lol but only because he is one of the hardest working men in the southern hemisphere.

He knows I'll wait for him! ;)

I wonder if its possible to add an ENORMOUS shark or octopus in deepwaters, so theres other things threatning our uboats besides english crappings...

Just for fun, of course.

Since a dolphin can reach top speeds of 25-30 knots...no chance of hitting one with a torp, especially when it is diving.

Jimbuna

Unless they're scripted to swim at a speed of 5 knots in-game http://www.psionguild.org/forums/images/smilies/wolfsmilies/pirate.gif

I just ran into one.

After watching it going, I just had to go and test if I could hit the poor bastard.

Apparently, I did.

Same with me and only then. Haven't seen any whales yet.

I have yet to see any sea creatures, either, but they probably wouldn't want to hang around anyways with so many trashcans going 'BOOM!' all around me every time I go out on patrol these days.

I suppose it's maritime law that upon sighting a shark in GWX you have to sing "Show me the way to go home!".

A catchy little ditty that sometimes makes me wish I was a crusty old salt with a fishing boat. :arrgh!:

..uhh, minus giant killer sharks.

Interesting to see what it came down as in your logbook! "Flippers long lost borther - 1/2 ton"
