If its about womens honour what about mens honour?
This whole thing stinks.
I feel these new marriage conditions destroys family values. I don't believe in religion but I do believe in a greater good between people. We should set examples to better ourselves and for our young. If people don't want to honourable to the ideal of a family they shouldn't get married. :nope: Because if you have children they are the ones who suffer in the end.:-?
Anyhow thats my point to it.;)

Wolfehunter,
It is all in who you pick to marry and how you handle that marriage. If your girl is promiscuous around the neighborhood or has a very sorted past, best keep on looking. Leopards do not change their color. Also, you could have the most faithful wife in the world but lack of attention sexually or otherwise is brew for trouble. Basically, you better do it for her or somebody will take care of it. This is not to say the law here is ok, but let's look at the flip side for the moment. Anyway, if she goes off and does the deed, let her new boyfriend know the bills and the headache is a package deal. You do not need her anyway. Hopefully there are no children involved. She has to live with it if there are. And another thing, all the sneaking around and catching a quicky ain't so fun anymore when you are found out. The thrill of the hunt, the score, gets boring....she will go off and do it again to that poor sap also. It is a game, once the game is completed, time to start another. I have seen it plenty and know enough to say that romp in sheets for the thrill is not worth it.

Whilst I feel this is utter bull**** on a moral level, I dont have the cause to enthusiastically support the need to lie for men either.
Welcome to feminism.

Your right not all women are like this. But is still set poor standards. Also if society accepts this to be the norm in time traditional honourable values are all but a memory. We become the minority aka black sheep. I'm not bashing women in general, there are men out there who are just as bad. AVGWK its about principles. If you want to have fun stay single. Its not a game, its a responsibility between partners and more.:know:

I agree, it is about principles, responsibilities and honoring the vow you have taken...better or worse. I for one, if done such an act, would look guilty as a kid caught with his hand in a cookie jar. I know you said you are not a religious man but some proverbs ring true, 'Do unto others as you would have done unto you.' I trust my wife implicitly and conduct myself in a manner that she too would trust me implicitly. Trust is the strongest foundation one could ask for in any relationship. If your soon to be is not trustworthy, might want to stand back and think before diving in.
Its not a game, its a responsibility between partners and more
You missed the point, "the game" is the hunt and the score, the hiding and stealing time together with another other than your betrothed. That is the game. Both men and women play this game. Is it about love and passion? Nope. It is about getting away with it and the thrill of it all. More often then not, they are predisposed to this activity. Doing this and living this way is like riding the new rollercoaster for the first time, after a few turns around the track, time for a new ride and the new excitement. I know several women like this. My sister-in-law for example. She was so bad with my brother, she rung up over $100,000.00 in credit card bills and a new car to her, lets face it, screw doll. She was taking money out of my brother company to get laid. My brother could not figure out way at the end of every month, the books just show breaking even. Well, he found out! The game was over, screw doll moved away, sister-in-law lives in shame......and alone now. That is the game. She is busy now starting another game but with out the key to the checkbook. She has been playing the game long before my brother showed up and married her. He was warned in the beginning but was to star struck to care.
Your right not all women are like this. But is still set poor standards.
Agreed 100%

Both my lady and I know many people who abide by this "logic" that it is ok to cheat and lie about it. We just shake our heads ruefully. I guess we are of a different time.
In this day and age, when it is not socially required to be married why do people get married and then cheat? Don't get married but have multiple girl/boy friends if that is what you wish.
I seldom like to push my moral values on others and everyone will live their lives the way they wish. But to us:
Cheating on your spouse or committed domestic partner is wrong :nope:
Lying about cheating on your spouse or committed domestic partner is wrong :nope:
To us, there as just some things in life that are that simple.
Haha! It's only a few days ago that Ital banned scratching your balls in public. (Seriously!)

Being in an ex-communism country, liberalism, on the economic and the social level is high. I get a strange look and an angry fist every time I try to speak about morals, values, the importance of hard work and so on. They always say "Who would listen to you?! You're an idiot to think this way!". Then there are others who just look away, knowing that I'm right, but don't have the courage to stand up and say what they want. I've always been a thorn in the side of modern society, and as such I stand up.
Back to the point, I believe that what the Italians have done this time around is just utterly wrong on so, so many levels that one can't think of it. It's a total breakdown of the social order. Then it will become a precedent and more laws allowing something similar will come. I'm not Catholic, yet I hope that the Pope condems this horrible act of so called justice.
I agree with many a member here on this forums. What have we given to our children? Bad parents pop up as mushrooms after the rain. If it goes on like this, what will our society look like in 50 years? 100? more? The problems of modern liberal society is that it only looks at pleasure at the present moment and doesn't look into the future or the consequences it's actions can have on the society in general.

Exactly. We don't think of our future just the now. What examples are we setting for our children? Me me me, my wants my needs and not the we.
AVGWarhawk your case I feel for you and your brother, :nope: heres one of my stories.
My brother is even in a worse predicament. A few years ago he had a woman he thought was honourable got together through mutual love. In time they were planning on marrage and was having a child with her. They lived with our parents place to help them save money to buy a house. When their baby was being delivered a nurse accidentally gave him his girlfriend’s medical records. She had over 30 abortions in her youth and a serious drug history even with in there relationship. He was shocked he was told a different story by her. Not long after that they broke up and she filed for custody of the child. They both got 50/50 custody. My brother was lucky because he had a amazing lawyer and strong family ties.
In my country women have a lot of power when it comes to children. It was caused by old laws that have been set by the Catholic Church here long ago. Last 20 years men have been fighting for their rights to have equal right to see their own children on a 50/50 basis. Slowly the laws are becoming more equal.
Fortunate my brother is financially stable and can afford a good lawyer. She has a shady past because her father has ties to shady characters. Her drug habits don’t help either. She already had a child with another man before my brother and as of today she has 2 more, one about to be delivered soon. 4 children total with 4 different men.
Here’s her motivation? Our society has and good system for woman who need financial help when there in a jam. But many women who know the system can abuse it. She uses the system to get alimony payment from each of these men to support her herself and government supplements her with a nice pay check courtesy of the tax payer. Problem is there are women who really need this and are good and in trouble. Scum like my brother ex-girlfriend give a bad name to good mothers.
My brother with his amazing lawyer won a hallmark battle against her a few years back. Twice she gave up her right to make power of attorney decision for her child in two cases. She tried to correct her mistake the first time but buggered herself up a second. My brother tactics was ruthless with his lawyer’s guidance. Yet despite this with 2 judge’s signatures she can at any time change her mind. Few weeks ago they went back to court over dispute to send my nephew to a school. She wanted it done her way, to send him to a school of her choice and tried to override my brother’s decision. Yet choice made by her own signature says she can’t choose according to the law. In the end it’s the judge’s choice. We are still waiting for the answer. Logic in the case favours my brother; she used the helpless victim technique. If the judge is rational this is an easy case for my brother.
These battles never end nice. The one who suffers the most is my little nephew. My daughter and her cousin are almost the same age only a few months off. It would be sad if she can’t see him anymore.
Here is another crazy law passed a few years ago.
In my country specifically my province if you live with someone for over 7 months you becomes common law a lesser marriage. Lol you’re married without having to go to church or the judge. It’s preordained lesser marriage. Everything is 50/50 well suppose to be that. Your taxes are also combined. Yes if you share an apartment with guy friends you’re married by law after 7 months. :rotfl: Crazy. It’s not a real full marriage but you get many of the same privileges.
Where is the honour in our ourselves when society has no honour. Baw this world is getting flushed down the toilette.

In the U.S. the norm is seven years and it's called a Common Law Marriage.
