Weatherfix for gwx2.0

It hardly seems worth having any deck or flack guns anymore ...with storms that last for weeks on end. then clearing only a day or 2 before repeating for weeks again.:huh:

I tried running the weather fix mod, but i need a mod to install the mod lol.:oops:

Try to avoid running at 1024x tc. I've heard that it can cause the weather to freeze.

Also, from what I understand the weather is random. it changes every 36 hours or so. what it changes to is random. It's like a dice roll. There is as much chance that 15 knot wind and rain and fog will pop up again as clear, sunny and calm. Saving and loading your game resets the weather timer.

For example. You have rain and fog for 24 hours. You save, exit and load. The weather timer has reset. Instead of getting new random weather in 12 hours, you need to wait 36 hours again.

I tend to keep my tc at 512x max, and I try not to save and exit unless the weather is fine.

lol i never run over 256 submerged or 128 surfaced, these days hardly ever over 64 on the surface for fear of running into another ship. I came in from my 6th mission 10/25/40 so i'm at sea quite a bit, i save only every 10 days or so unless i accumulate alot of tonnage. Me thinks the record is stuck on stormy .

I've definitely noticed less time spent at 15 m/s (maybe 30% of the time?), with 10-14 m/s occuring a lot more often than in stock (along with much calmer winds of course too). That part seems to work at least.

There's a mod called SH3Weather. I feel it addresses and fixes this issue completely.

I added the SHIIIweather mod and will report back after a few weeks of testing lol
