To add some kind of function to the commanders office where you could get letters from people (your superiors, crew, maybe even your wife :p) and be able to reply to them.

For example, you get a letter from one of your OODs saying that he wants a transfer. You can then decide whether or not to grant his request.

I wouldnt have thought it'd be much work, but I guess most of it would be generating the letters contents.

I dont know, I'd just really like to be able to do more in the commander's office. :yep:

It would make the game more immersible but not a real necessity. Besides there's only so much you can stuff into the sim before it blows up. I'd rather the devs to fix problems like Flags and smoke blowing in the correct direction in relation to winds.

Or when you fire or hire a crew member, you get to see them walk in, then you hand them the news :p Maybe just multi choice lines purely for firing people :yep:

I like the idea of having an officer request a transfer, because the chain of command requires that any request from within your command goes through you first. It would also be cool if your exec came to you with such a request from an enlisted man, because that would be his chain of command.

The problem I have with that one is that you would likely not break that news. You would make the request to your superior, and the officer in question would recieve it as an order from command. A captain can't actually 'fire' or 'hire' anyone directly.

Well, like they say, you learn something new everyday :D

Would you be able to borrow a staff car to visit the officers wife when he is transferred

"able too?" Of course...as long as you don't get caught. What you do on your own authority is your business and nobody else's.

Except that of anyone who finds out and blabs it to the whole command.:rotfl:
