U-51, 1st Patrol

I tried to do this once but it didnt work out for technical reasons so here goes another try at. Im going to keep a log here for a fictional u-boat captain I created in SH3. All patrols will be done in real time, Im only going to update when something important happens such as a combat action, damage to the ship, wounded crew members, etc. Anyway here goes.

U-51, 2nd Flotilla, Departed Wilhelmshaven September 1st, 1939 at 00:44 local. Mission to patrol grid AM32 for 24 hours.

U-51 is currently in grid AN45 on course for patrol grid. Clear skys and good waters. No contacts as of yet. Here are a couple of screenshots. Further reports will come as described above. Just wanted to get everyone up to speed on where im at.

Nice thanks for the picture, im currently about 8 hours from arriving at my patrol grid. So far nothing really to report. Weather hasnt changed a bit and I havent had a single contact with enemy aircraft or ships.

Is it Sept 3rd yet?

On the 3rd you will go to war with the United Kingdom. I have always picked up aircraft at the top left of Grid 41. I have also sank ships in grid AN 14. Be carfull and good hunting.

Patrol Report: September 4th 1939 03:46 local

I arrived in patrol grid AM32, no contacts with any enemy ships or aircraft yet. Weather is still very calm. The crew is starting to get very bored. Hopefully we can find atleast a lone ship to sink today. Will dive a bit today and try to pick something up on the hydrophone.
