UK version vs USA version

Well I went to download the 1.4 patch and found out that there are 2 versions available 1 for Europe version of game and one for American version.

Since i ordered mine on Amazon.com 2 days ago I had to go back and check which version i ordered.
Its the U.K. version from coming from california!

Okay so now i must know why two differant 1.4 patches are they not the same simulation?

the fact that it is the "same" game does not mean its the "same" game...
er... that didn't make sense at all :shifty:

if the versions where released at different times, one could be more updated out of the box (that happened to the russian version of STALKER, the american version has more stuff even tho both are the "same" game out of the box.)

the facts being:
you should download the patch that was made for your version. (both d2d/dvd wise and europe/america wise)

First of, right click your sh3.exe file and check the version number. If it is 1.4.0.1 it is already patched.
Look in the SilentHunterIII folder for readme EMEA EN.txt or similar, it gives you the version you have.
I do not know of any differences in gameplay between US and UK versions.

I think possibly theres some difference with the end-user liscence agreements between US and UK versions (copyright law differences etc)...

Theres certainly no gameplay difference.

I guess i should have said i hope theres no gameplay differences, else im going to have to buy the US version to see what they are:-?

once patched they should be the same..
with "gameplay diference" i meant.. er... like...
the US version (out of the box) is 1.0 while the EU ver is "1.0.4"... (its just an example this is now based on facts of any sort specialy not related to sh3 as per time of release.)
