Does anyone here still play this?
I tried to download teh latest version to get into it but its from all these sites where you have to register and then wait in a queue and it takes ages to DL.

Is it worth the hassle?

Use to play it, gave it up cause of another online game but yes its worth it I became quite addicted to the bunker raid mission where you get paracute in. I was thinking the other day of reinstalling AA. I only have AA v2.7 so its probably a big update for me too.

edit.
No need to register & wait in cue from this site:

ACtually I have changed my mind. Going to finally instal Jane's F/A-18 patch it mod it and get into that.

Especially as you can fly an F-14.

AA is an awesome shooter if you're into realism. None of that take a hundred bullets before you die nonsense. I really enjoy playing online still. Version 3.0 is due out later this year too (I think its supposed to be out in September).

What no bunny-hopping? I used to play CoD, and I always laugh, when 2 people are running around in circles hopping and shooting at each other. I think to myself "so that's what real combat is like...":dead: It seems like in real combat, it's all about the ambush! (camping):rotfl:

I still play it...it is awesome now that players are creating maps and you have two missions against AI as a squad to accomplish tasks...so you fight as a unit, about 10 guys, and the AI are no pushovers...havent played gonna log in and see whats new...very good game.

It's a lot more limited because of the stamina bar in AA. You can't bunny hop incessantly, the game won't let you.
