I'm down getting some tires installed that I bought from Tire Rack (Tire Rack kicks butt - I got $1200 worth of Pirelli P-Zero's installed for an out of pocket cost of $750!!! But thats another story and I'm getting side-tracked) yesterday and so while the tires are being put on, I wander across the street to see if there is anything to do over there. I find this pub of course, and go in and see they have an Imperial Pale Ale from Maritime Pacific and its only $3 a glass, so no problem, fill her up! I down one in about 20 min thinking this is a damn good IPA, and figure there is no way they have finished putting on my tires across the street, so I grab another. I'm sitting there watching on TV some guys putting the exact same P-Zero's (just bigger than mine - weird, eh?) on a Lamborghini, and somewhere in there I am starting to realize I am tanked. So I pay my bill and as I'm walking across the street, I'm thinking, well it would be a really bad idea to drive right now, and I'm thinking, what the hell is in that beer??? I can hold my beer pretty well, but that stuff made me a bit tanked in only 2 beers. Good thing they were no where near done with my tires or I'd have to go wander around a bit before I drove home.
Anyway, I just looked up this Imperial Pale Ale, and it's at 7.5% abv. No wonder I got a bit tanked off it! I figured it would be a 5.5 or so.
My 2 cents - this is a GREAT Imperial Pale Ale. Highly recommended!!!  If you like Pale Ales, this is one of the better ones I've had in a while so give it a shot.

I prefer darker beers myself, but am always on the look-out for new brews. If you know of any decent beers available to the UK then give us a shout, as it's all good and strength is no probs as I pace my drinking the the strength of the beer:|\\.
