So I decided to give SHIV another bash. Granted it looks absolutely amazing with ROW etc, but I've already found myself back in my VIIC lol, can't help myself! I missed my OLC GUI too much ;), oh well... it was nice to get a bit of warm weather before I head back into the cold wet Atlantic :D.

I haven't been paying attention to SH4 much. Has that gotten any better since the first few months that it was released? I still like my u-boat anyways:yep:

Yeah, patch number 4 has fixed a bunch of things, but there are still lots of other things that need attention. GWX2 and sh3 commander has the 'soul' that sh4 is lacking. imo.
I almost exclusively play sh3.

I don't understand why is SHIV so bugged when Ubisoft had gained a valuable experience with SHIII. Did they make a new subsim from scratch?

Was SHIII also that bugged when first released?

Someone once posted a thread in the sh4 community that drove their boat all the way to Wilhelmshaven and he could hear the band playing. Havent tried this myself.
I think sh4 is a direct descendant of sh3.
I started playing sh3 that was already patched to 1.4b, but iirc sh3 had some bugs when it first came out.

Yea I still only play SH3. There were bugs when it first came out, which if I remember correctly, most of them were promptly fixed by patches, and the supermods did the rest:yep:
