lo fellow kaleuns

ive got a teeny weeny wee problem ( ha ha very funny!!!)
its that after ive installed gwx my enter key on my numpad doesnt work anymore...

i found it very handy when wanting to jump down in time compression immediately if needed..... this key cut tc to 1......ive a few mods installed but cant remember if this happened before or after installing them

did anyone else have this happen and is there a way round it???? or will i just blame bernard:o

If it's stopped working, it will be due to the commands_en.cfg file being changed by one of the extra mods you've added.

Search out the culprit.

That's normal. GWX deactivates the keypad enter key. Which is a good thing because I lost countless torpedoes when playing stock SHIII, hitting the key by mistake. :p

I read that you can reprogram your key, for whatever function you want (TC=1), but not sure how. I'd like to know, that should be very convenient.

Isnt it changed to CTRL+Enter in GWX? Some mod changed it to that. :hmm:

Nope, that's not normal.;)

GWX set the Numpad Enter key to set TC to 1x (regardless on what TC you were on).

The Enter = Torpedo issue was IIRC the first thing changed when SH3 first came out.:yep:

GWX did, maybe some more mods do that too.

Eek! The OP wanted to know why Numpad Enter would not reduce the TC to 1.

Not a torp issue.

lo mate ...i know gwx stopped the enter key firing torps...i too lost too many fish that way...but it was changed to slow time compression to "1" on my pc....it was very handy....i'l take note of what danlisa says and look into my mods

i dont want to remove and reinstall mods if i dont have to...even with jsgme things sometimes never go back the same!!!!:rotfl:
i was just kinda hoping there was a quick fix......just being lazy i guess

I can give you a fix but it will corrupt the mod that changed it and possibley GWX core files when/if you ever disable the mod that originally changed the key assignment.

Your call.

Thanx for the offer Danlisa...as helpful as usual mate but i think youre right in your first post......i'll remove the mods one by one and see what caused it..theres not that many anyway....your offer is tempting but your warning clear!!!
no point corrupting my career due to laziness....especially as im about to upgrade to a type IX...depending on another post i have here:up:

You can also cut to TC1 by hitting backspace twice.

Makes me think: is it possible to change the enter key (or any key) to set TC to 64x or any other TC setting by changing files manually? That would really make my day!
